Carla Mudgett, Regional Public Diplomacy Desk Officer for Nordic, Baltic, and North Central European Countries

Carla Mudgett, Regional Public Diplomacy Desk Officer for Nordic, Baltic, and North Central European Countries in the Bureau of European and Eurasia, visited Finland September 12-13. While in Helsinki, she visited the Cultural Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and met with Finnish journalists to discuss topical press and culture issues, including the U.S. image in Finland. She also conversed with Finns and Americans involved in professional exchanges between Finland and the U.S. and learned more about their views of the United States. Ms. Mudgett's visit was part of a longer trip, including stops in Sweden, Denmark and Estonia.
