Economic Officer Glenn Lewis Addressed the Finnish-American Society on U.S. Efforts to Confront Global Climate Change

Economic Officer Glenn Lewis addressed the Finnish-American Society September 20 on efforts by the United States to confront global climate change. Speaking to students, educators and interested citizens at Caisa (the Multicultural Outreach Center in downtown Helsinki), Mr. Lewis listed concrete climate change initiatives at the international, federal and state levels, as well as actions everyone can take to reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions. Mr. Lewis also focused on the important Major Economies Meeting in Washington, DC, on September 27-28. During this meeting, leaders from 15 of the top economies in the world, including China and India, will work to develop a new post-2012 international framework to address climate change and energy security by the end of 2008.
