Ambassador Ware Visits Eero Saarinen Exhibition at Helsinki's Taidehalli
On December 5, Ambassador Ware visited the Eero Saarinen exhibition at Helsinki's Taidehalli. 'Eero Saarinen: Shaping the Future' is the first retrospective on the Finnish-born architect, whose buildings and furniture transformed 20th-century architecture and design and continue to inform visual culture today. Following its presentation in Helsinki, the exhibition will travel to museums in Brussels, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Oslo, St. Louis, and Washington, D.C., ending its tour in New Haven, Connecticut, in 2010, the centennial of Saarinen's birth.
