Embassy Officer Visits Vantaa School
Political Officer Greg Thome and Cultural Assistant Heidi Day visited Kytöpuisto Elementary School in Vantaa on February 4. Approximately 40 percent of Kytöpuisto School's students are immigrants, which makes it one of the most multicultural schools in the Finland. Somali language teacher Jama Abdukadir had extended the invitation to the U.S. Embassy to visit his school. Greg Thome visited two classes and talked with the students who were curious about him and the U.S. and asked a lot of questions.
