A group of students and teachers from Haukilahti High School visited the American Resource Center on March 16. Public Diplomacy Officer Dmitri Tarakhovsky from Washington D.C. gave an informative presentation on multiculturalism in the U.S., which combined insights into his own personal background as an immigrant and a general overview of America’s multicultural society. The students seemed especially interested in Mr. Tarakhovsky’s background as a teacher in Michigan and his discussion of the U.S. educational system. The visit to the American Resource Center included a tour of the library and an opportunity to learn about the services the Center offers.
