Former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor visited Finland

Former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor visited Finland Sept. 3-7 at the invitation of the President of the Supreme Administrative Court of Finland, Pekka Hallberg. In Helsinki, Justice O’Connor spoke at a seminar on “The Role of Women in Government and Politics.” Other keynote speakers included Justice Minister Tuija Brax and the Vice Chair of the National Council of Women of Finland, Dr. Helena Ranta.
