Deputy Chief of Mission Michael Butler Visits Tampere and Turku
Deputy Chief of Mission Michael Butler visited Tampere on September 11. He delivered a speech on U.S. Elections at Sampo High School followed by a visit to Aamulehti, the second largest daily in Finland. Mr. Butler also delivered a speech at the Metso Library at an event organized by the Tampere Finnish-American Society. He discussed social mobility and its impact on American life and politics. He also met with the Mayor of Tampere Timo P. Nieminen. On September 12 he delivered a speech on U.S. Elections at the University of Turku and visited Turun Sanomat, the third largest daily in Finland.
