Marketing Director of the New York Philharmonic Talks about Branding Orchestras
David Snead, Marketing Director of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra together with Kate Prescott of Prescott Associates talked about how to create a brand for a philharmonic orchestra. They talked at the Nordic Orchestra Conference arranged by the Association of Finnish Symphony Orchestras in Tampere on September 24-27, 2008.
The New York Philharmonic Orchestra faced the same problems as many orchestras all over the world – diminishing and aging audiences. David Snead and Kate Prescott presented a case study of the process that the New York Philharmonic went through to win back the audience and of the lessons learned in that process.
