Ambassador Barrett visits Rauma

U.S. Ambassador Barbara Barrett paid an official visit to Rauma on Oct 17th.  Highlights of her visit included  meeting Rauma's City Chairman Eero Laine and Deputy Mayor Tomi Suvanto while voting was underway at City Hall, and discussing operations with seaport operator Stevedoring and Europe's most innovative faucet manufacturer Oras Oy.  While touring the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Old Town Rauma, the Ambassador met researchers evaluating the DNA of sea trout and received restoration advice for homeowners in Old Town Rauma.
