Ambassador Barrett visits Porvoo
Ambassador Barbara Barrett paid an official visit to Porvoo on October 20th. Hosted by Mayor Marcus Henricson, the Ambassador began the day with on-site briefings at the Neste Oil and renewable diesel refinery, Borealis Innovation Centre, Makulaku licorice & sweets factory, and Lamor Technics - specialists in oil spill response equipment. Ambassador Barrett toured production facilities, sophistocated control rooms and innovation laboratories. The Ambassador also met Deputy Mayor Jukka-Pekka Ujula and enjoyed an afternoon tea and discussion at historic Haikko Manor with owner Veikko Vuoristo.
