Ambassador Barrett gives a presentation at the German School
Ambassador Barrett visited Deutsche Schule in Helsinki on November 6. She gave a lively presentation on the American West informing the students about the National Park Service and national parks in the western states of the U.S. The Ambassador shared with the students her experiences e.g. in Yosemite, Yellowstone, and Grand Canyon that is situated at the Ambassador’s home state – Arizona.
In addition to the nature reserves in the U.S., the Ambassador was discussing with the students about the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Finland.
The students had an opportunity to make questions and they were especially interested in to hear about the actual work the Ambassador does; and Ambassador Barrett enlightened them about her mission as an ambassador .
In the end of the Ambassador answered some questions concerning the presidential election and President-elect Barack Obama.
