On November 8, 2008 Ambassador Barrett hosted Finnish women leaders from all sectors including government, business and culture for a working dinner celebrating women’s leadership. Finns shared their insights and experiences with visiting guests from the United Kingdom: writer Katharine Whitehorn and business executives Marty Wickstrom and Pam Garside. Ambassador Barrett was pleased to see the collaboration during the working session. Finnish women, some of whom were interacting for the first time, departed with future plans to work with one another on impending projects.
