Ambassador Barrett Opens National Board of Customs Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Conference

Speaking to an audience of approximately 50 Customs officials, right holders and industry representatives, Ambassador Barbara Barrett opened National Board of Customs (NBC) 3-day IPR Conference at the Customs School on November 10, together with NBC Director General Tapani Erling.

The conference brought together Finnish, U.S. Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, German and Estonian Customs Officials to discuss cooperation between law enforcement authorities in protecting industrial property rights, in the combat against crime and in IPR training. Ambassador Barrett praised IPR cooperation between United States and Finland and hoped that in the future we will continue to see more of this type of cooperation.
