Political Officer Hunter Treseder Lectured at the American Resource Center

Sibelius High School students

Hunter Treseder from the Political-Economic Affairs Section, U.S. Embassy Helsinki, gave a presentation on “Studying and Working in the U.S.A." at the American Resource Center on November 22.  Mr. Treseder started by presenting the similarities between Finland and the United States. He discussed a large variety of public and private schools and higher education institutions in the U.S. as well as diverse practices regarding admissions, tuitions, scholarships, and auditions. The students from the Sibelius High School were especially interested in learning about studying in art academies and about working opportunities for artists in the U.S.

The students also participated in a guided tour of the American Resource Center gaining knowledge of the resources and services available for them.
