Non-Immigrant Visas

Crew Member Visas

Individuals working on an aircraft or vessel that will call on a US port of entry must apply for C1/D, or "crewmember," visas. In order to qualify for this visa, crewmembers must serve in a position that is considered necessary for the normal operation of a ship or aircraft.

In addition to the items required of all visa applicants, C1/D applicants must present their work agreement at the time of their interview.

Please note that crewmembers of private yachts cruising in US waters must present a letter of employment stating the home port of the vessel and the amount of time to be spent in the US.
