Under the Treaty of Friendship, Commerce, and Consular Rights between the United States of America and the Republic of Finland, nationals of either country may operate a business in the other. Finnish persons and corporations who wish to establish operations in the United States must meet the requirements as set forth in the Immigration and Nationality Act. There are two categories of visas under this visa classification: treaty traders (E-1) and treaty investors (E-2). In every treaty visa case, both the company’s and the applicant’s eligibility will be reviewed. 

 All E-visa applicants are required to send an email to HelsinkiEvisas@state.gov once the company part of the E visa application has been sent to the Embassy.
