Fees and Payment Methods
For payment for the services rendered by the American Services Unit, we only accept payment in US dollars and euros. For passport issuance that requires a personal appearance you may use cash or major credit cards or travelers checks.
APPLICATION BY MAIL: When applying by mail DO NOT SEND CASH. The Embassy cannot be held responsible for cash received or for returning cash balances. Fees may be paid by a bank cashier’s note called as PANKKIVEKSELI in exact euros amount made payable to “American Embassy”. Please do not pay by cheque! Finnish banks normally provide this service free of charge. If you are enclosing more than one application, you should send only ONE money order.
